Speaking of twins, the babies are getting into everything and learning how to talk like crazy. Wyatt's favorite is going outside and trying to escape, to anwhere, thus, I bought the Baby Jail.

This thing is the highlight of my soon to be summer, I just know it. I have absolutely no other way to contain the wild monkeys. Bonus, I just found another section of gate at a discount kidstuff place so we pretty much have Laura's entire front yard enclosed when we set them all out. As long as I'm sitting inside jail with them, they are okay. Bella has taken to waving this hilarous upside down wave whenever she wants to say "hi" or "bye". She has also been really affectionate lately to us and to her stuffed cow (from Trina Bina to Gabby but Bella has claimed it) and her little kitty.

They also both adore the real kitty, Meero, who gets to come in and play sometimes but then Meero usually has to formulate an escape plan from the babies since they have taken to grabbing her, sitting on her, "nice-nice-ing" her or generally torturing her, out of love of course. They may soon have little Meerolings to torture because there was a curious tomcat prowling the area and let's just say, the kids and I got quite a show from the deck on one particular of those warm sunny days I was talking about. Farm livin'.
In Gabby news, we are learning how to play games. I LOVE age 3. Love it. Gabby is really busy trying to get my attention from the babies so whenever they nap or go to bed, Daddy and Gabby will play puzzles or one of her new boardgames or she'll play computer with me.

I finally taught her to use a mouse! I was really excited about getting her to figure it out because now we have a whole world of learning opened up. She also adores her cousins ("the friends") and just about every single day wants to go see either them or Papa and Grandma. She is also now quite the little shopper, I've created a monster and I don't care. I have a partner in crime. Bwaaa Haa Haaa Haa.
In other news, our shed is nearing completion and then Hubs will be busy as heck trying to get it done. So much to do this summer and I'm excited for all of the work. I really am--I have lots of energy these days given that my children now SLEEP!!!! Can I get a "yee haw!" ? Also yee-haw worthy is the fact that Anna will be watching the kids for me this summer while I work 2 days, grand relief since my nanny girl is going on a maternity leave. God always provides.
Finally, today we celebrated Matthew William's 1st Communion. It was a beautiful mass, 80 or so kids and I was teasing Laur that she could have TOLD us how many there were, but in reality, when I saw all of those little mini veils and dresses and the little boys who would only be so for such a short time, and when I heard all the clickety-click of new dress shoes on the marble floor as they strolled in, it was truly all that I could do to prevent the tears from rolling. Something so powerful about the innocence and wonder of those children about to receive the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Matty was such a big man up there with his eyes fixed squarely on his dress shoes so as not to draw too much attention to himself or to look too "uncool". I heard he made out like a bandit too at the party afterward. Target--stock your Bionicles, here comes Matty!!
I have so many wonderful pictures from this spring already. I don't have time to post all of them, but here are a few. In the interest of time and sleep, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Here's to Spring!

Hey, if you can't find a sitter, bring that baby jail over on Friday. Love to see you if it works out.
Great idea! Although, now I think my schedule changed and I do have to work Friday. ug! I really want to come to the tea party! I still haven't seen the invitations, Laura has mine.
Hey, remember the analogy of God and his "rules" being a "baby jail" for us? He gives us our "baby jail" to keep us within His perameters so we actually have FREEDOM to do whatever we want in the confines of His will! I wonder if we could explain that one to the twins? I wonder if Wyatt would like the baby jail better if he understood this concept? I think he'd better practice walking and not falling on his face before he tackles moral theology, though.
Good point, I'll keep working on him.
Bummer, another time. Maybe Wyatt should work on bowel and bladder control issues before moral theology. I finally got the order right myself and have never been so regular in my life. (oops, too much disclosure).
I can't wait to see the babies...when I am frusterated with life they are my "happy place." You gotta check out my new post. Oh, and I burned the best of John Denver CD today, that was exciting.
