We scraped together a nice little picnic and the daddys came in for supper. After supper we sang Happy Birthday to the tune of the musical birthday candle on the cake (Gabby and Analise picked it out).I was working on the dishes and politely asking Matt not to turn his new CD up too loudly (okay, nagging at him) when he turned on the music. I quickly changed my tune when I looked over into the teeeeny tiny living room of mine to see this:

We listened to every song on that CD and danced, danced, danced.
Little Mariela even fell asleep on Uncle Matt. The kids had so much fun just being kids and the adults had even more fun watching the kids and being kids themselves.
I always tease Matt about the fact that he thinks he's at least 30 years older than he is. I guess he considers himself an old soul. But the truth is, to me he's stronger, more handsome, he works harder (if that's possible) and is just plain better than ever. Here's to you my Hubs, Happy Birthday, you'll always be the 25 year old I first fell in love with.

I have to admit that was one of most enjoyable b-day parties I have ever been to. (espescially with over half of the people there were sick. Happy birthday Matt
Based upon these still photos I wouldn't say that our fam differs much from the "white guy overbite" that we so often taunt.
I remember back, oh, about 15 years ago or so when a party wasn't a party until Matt blew chunks all over somebody's back yard and then proceded to continue massive beer guzzling (the term "puke and reload" originated with Matt, I still have a picture somewhere around here of Matt in actual mid-barf, it's a CLASSIC!). I suppose a nice day with the families and dancing in the living room was an o.k. substitute...but sometimes I sure do miss the good ol' days. Sigh.
