Today I was in Babies R Us returning some sandals that stubborn/picky/sassy/justlikhermother/butagoodgirlieanyway Gabby won't wear. A girl in front of me had her sleeping baby, her first, in a car seat. We got to talking, turns out her new baby is a lot like Gabby was in the sleep department. I ended up telling her of my newest little one to which she responded with the question, "Were they all planned?" I've never gotten that question before. I wasn't offended and I'm sure she didn't mean to be offensive, just curious about how things work out--that's my benefit-of-the-doubt reason anyway, perhaps she was really wondering why the heck anyone would PLAN to have 4 children. I did pause for a second before answering her, "Yes." But when I got back to my desk at work I realized that my answer was not only sound, but right on the mark, however, I should have elaborated, "Yes--by God."
Afterall, HOW the HE-- does one plan to get pregnant with twins? I'm sure if she'd have thought of it, she wouldn't have asked, but at least now, for the next time, I have the real answer.

I love it! You go girl!
I find it extremely annoying when anyone asks questions about the number of children one has or will have...as it's heart breaking on my end too to hear people comment on the fact that we only have one...will you be having another? Go ahead, rub it in that we only have one or better yet, rub it in for the folks who have been praying for years for a child and have none. My answer is, "Yes, God willing and it's none of your business."
You and CM are on a roll. Hopefully I've transferred my opinionated blogging addiction to you both and call it quits myself.
If twins are in our future you know I'll be knocking on your door asking for advice.
Have to tell you about my friend Jenny who was a triplet (unfortunately, one miscarried, but she and sis Stacey are alive and producing children of their own now). Just over a year later, her mother found out she was pregnant with another set of identical twins (her brothers). Can you imagine? I love hearing her mother tell the story of her reaction to finding out about the second set. She's still a bit glassy eyed to this day.
BTW, came across some old photos of you today. Will try to post them later.
Squirrel--if twins are in your future, I have lots of matchy boy/girl clothes that I can't get myself to separate. They go together, just like Wyatt and Bella.
If you post the photos, I may have to call msn to shut down your blog--AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGG
Jemima--of course! did you ever get that interview thing done?
ooooh, now I'm scared. You might help me get over my blogging addiction if you do that. Put your dukes up baby.
Lucky for you I lost the pictures as soon as I found them...so you may have to wait a year or two.
Come on woman, it's been a month already....write something new. JK, how are you feeling? Wanting to bite the heads off of any more total strangers? Happens to me all the time. Good thing we don't live near each other. Just trying to pay my posse dues.
