Despite Farkle Fairlies and every other toy
Gabby just got a new barbie of the Fairytopia variety. We told her it's name was "Sparkle Fairy" and since she's taken to adding "L's" to the middle of words sounding like cherry or berry or fairy, it comes out "Farkle Fairly", I"ll call her Farkle for short. She played with Farkle the day after she got it and the day after that for about 2 hours. When we got home today, however, there was a MUCH more interesting "toy". I bought a new box of Huggies for the babies, the whopper size, so they come in a box. Daddy was in the room when we opened it so he put the emptied box on his head and was the box monster. Well, that was it. For the rest of the night tonight Gabs played box. She put it on her head with her tiny little legs sticking out and ran into everything in her path, so daddy cut holes in it for her eyes and arms. She was scaring us and taking it off every now and again to remind us, "It's jus Gabby". Then she got creative and she was a car for a while, after that, a train, then a fire truck. I don't have the heart to throw out the box tonight but I'm sure tomorrow she will find something equally as interesting, an empty toilet paper roll etc., and she won't even notice when I chuck the Huggies holder.

I've got a really cool, smashed up chapstick with no cover that would amuse her. Also, some caps from an orange juice container that might capture her interest. (Ten thousand fricken "educational" toys and brightly colored doodads and all they play with is the free, lame stuff...kids must be either stupid or flippin genius!)
